Clayburn's Aboriginal Education Program is guided by our Youth Care Worker, Mrs. Benevides, and Aboriginal Champion, Mrs. Heather Reid.

We conduct three large Aborginal Education Field Trips yearly including:  Learn to Fish (Gr 6), Sturgeon Fishing (Gr 7) and Canoeing/ Kayaking (Gr 8).

In addition, we have several smaller field trips incluidng Grouse Mtg (Snowshoeing), Sto'lo Lodge  - please check out the pictures below.

In addition to field trips, our Youth Care Worker supports all students by being in classrooms in the AM, and building relationships with small group support in the PM blocks plus monthly aboriginal lunches.

Check out our new celebration of aboriginal culture with our art unveiling coming in May!
